How to use these messages
Most happy customers would leave a review if someone asked at the right moment and made it easy. The generator gives you one message for each touchpoint, so asking becomes a routine instead of something you remember once a year.
- Ask in person first. Use the staff script at the counter or when the job is done. It's the request people say yes to most.
- Send the link the same day. Use the email or SMS version so the review box is one tap away.
- Remind once, after five days. One reminder, then stop. More feels pushy.
- Reply to every review. Use the replies as a starting point and change one specific detail each time, so they never look copy-pasted.
Why "ask everyone" matters
Many review tools ask customers "How was your visit?" first and only send happy answers to Google. That's called review gating, and Google’s policy prohibits it. Every message here goes to everyone, with the same link, which keeps the profile safe. We cover the whole routine in our guide to getting more Google reviews without breaking the rules.
Next step: check the whole profile
Reviews are one part of how a business shows up on Google Maps. Run the free Google Business Profile audit to see what else to fix, and if you offer this as a service, the local SEO pricing calculator helps you set a monthly fee.
Questions people ask
Is it allowed to ask customers for Google reviews?
Yes. Google allows businesses to ask customers for reviews. It prohibits asking only happy customers (review gating), offering anything in exchange for a review, and fake or bought reviews.
When is the best moment to ask for a review?
Right after the job or visit, while the experience is fresh: in person with a short line, then the same day by text or email with the direct link. One gentle reminder five days later is enough.
Where do I find my Google review link?
Open your Google Business Profile, choose "Ask for reviews" (or "Get more reviews") and copy the short link. Paste it into the generator and every message updates.
Should I reply to every review?
Yes. Reply to every review, positive or negative, within a few days. Keep replies short, specific and calm, and never share private details about the customer.
Can I offer a discount for a review?
No. Google prohibits incentives for reviews, including discounts, gifts and prize draws. In the US, the FTC also restricts incentives tied to reviews.
