What Explaindio 5 AI does
Explaindio has been around since 2014. Version 5 is new software from Andrew Darius and the Explaindio team, and it changes the job from “make a video” to “sell a video service”. It works in four steps:
- Find. Pick a business type and a town, like dentists in Austin or plumbers in Denver. Explaindio lists up to 50 businesses per search, checks each website for a video and notes other visible problems, like a missing security certificate or a site that isn’t built for phones. It also collects the email addresses and phone numbers each business publishes.
- Create. One click on a business reads its website and makes an animated explainer about its services, strengths and call to action.
- Send. Explaindio writes a short personal email with a link to the business’s own sample page. You read it, change it and send it yourself.
- Get paid. The owner sees a shorter, watermarked sample that can’t be downloaded. When they pay you through your own PayPal, Stripe or other link, one click puts the full video on their page.

What we’d buy. The front end. It includes the finder, the website check, one-click samples with 800 credits (about 60 samples), the email writer, sample pages, payment and delivery, the studio and the commercial license. Pro is worth it if you sell outside English-speaking markets (six languages, twenty voices, your own cloned voice) or want videos longer than a short explainer. Fix-It Pack suits you if you also want to sell website fixes. The Bundle makes sense only if you’re sure you’ll use the monthly lead picks and your own branding on the sample pages.
What we like
It sells the result, not the tool. Instead of asking an owner to imagine a video, you send their own video. That’s a much easier first conversation than a cold pitch.
The sample is protected. A watermarked, shorter cut on a page you control means the owner can’t take the work without paying.
The vendor is careful about claims. The sales page says plainly that the demo businesses are fictional, that it makes no income claims, and that you still send every email yourself. We trust products more when the page says what they won’t do.
The catches
- It’s still work. Explaindio finds, makes and writes, but you send, follow up and talk to owners. Not every owner answers.
- Thin websites make thin videos. Check every sample before you send it, and edit where needed.
- Map data varies. Searches work best where free map data is good. You can connect your own map key for more businesses, billed by the map provider.
- Outreach rules apply to you. Email laws differ by country. Every Explaindio email carries an opt-out, but you’re responsible for how you contact businesses.
